Victory in MCD polls will be repeated in UP: Vajpayee
Vajpayee said that the party has achieved success in some areas in the capital where it had never won earlier. "This shows the party is marching ahead and will achieve new goals."

New Delhi: Denying that he had any differences over selection of candidates for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, former Prime Minister and BJP patriarch Atal Bihari Vajpayee today exuded confidence about his party's prospects in the state.
"I don't have any question about the candidates (selection). I support everybody. I will support everybody and I want them to win," Vajpayee told MCD Councillors who had gone to his residence to seek his blessings after emerging victorious in MCD polls.
"I think the MCD results will be witnessed in Uttar Pradesh also," he said.
Refuting reports that he did not campaign in the MCD polls since he was not happy with some of the candidates fielded by the party, he said, "I want to clear that it is a wrong notion created that I was not happy with selection of candidates for the MCD polls."

The new council will change the map of Delhi by its welfare measures and creating new facilities, he asserted.
"Delhi's population is increasing. People will see how we will launch welfare measures and create new facilities for the people. We will change the map of Delhi," he said.
The former Prime Minister congratulated all party workers for the success in MCD polls. Delhi BJP chief Harsh Vardhan and senior party leader V K Malhotra were also present on the occasion.
