Vice presidential elections scheduled for August 5

Filing of nomination will begin on July 4 and the last date for filing of nomination paper will be July 18, polling will take place on August 5.

NEW DELHI: Vice Presidential elections are scheduled for August 5, Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi announced in a press conference today.

If necessary, polls will happen on August 5 from 10 AM to 5 PM and the votes will be counted on the same day.

Filing of nomination will begin on July 4 and the last date for filing of nomination paper will be July 18.

The scrutiny of nomination will take place on July 19 and the last date for withdrawal of application is July 21.

However, Presidential elections are scheduled for July 17.
