The Vibrant Gujarat Summit will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who initiated and created this biennial event in 2003.

GUWAHATI: Eyeing investors from Northeast India, Gujarat has reached out to the region. Gujarat’s Minister for Health, Road, Building and Transport, Nitinbhai Patel on Tuesday declared Gujarat government will assist companies from Assam to forge alliances with Gujarat companies.

This is first ever that such high level delegation from Gujarat is visiting Northeast India in the run up 7th Vibrant Gujarat Summit to be held on January 2015. The delegation met Assam chief minister, Tarun Gogoi and Industry minister, Pradyut Bordoloi besides meeting the local industrialist.

L Chuaungo, Gujarat’s Principal Secretary, Energy and Petrochemical department said that doing business with Gujaratis is good in the long run as they for long term viability. He assured that requisite assistance will be extended for industrialists to establish their base in the state. He highlighted that the state is surplus in power generation and has gas and water grids crisscrossing the entire state.

The Vibrant Gujarat Summit will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who initiated and created this biennial event in 2003.

R S Joshi, Chairman of local industry body, Federation of Industry and Commerce of the North East Region (FINER) asked the minister to develop permanent linkage between Assam and Gujarat. “Vibrant Gujarat should be felt here also”.
