VHP, Organiser join Sangh dissenters over BJP actions against 'fringe'

The Organiser uploaded a story with comments of Geert Wilders, a legislator of Netherlands who slammed Islamic countries for condemning Nupur Sharma's comments and advised India 'not to be intimidated' by Islamic countries.

Times Now explains: Why India slammed ‘narrow minded’ remarks of the Gulf Nations, OIC and Pakistan over Nupur Sharma's Prophet Muhammad statement
The VHP and Organiser joined the chorus of Sangh Parivar dissenters against BJP's suspension of national spokesperson Nupur Sharma and expulsion of its Delhi media head Naveen Kumar Jindal for remarks against the Prophet.

RSS, however, has not reacted officially to the development.

VHP working president Alok Kumar said, "whether Nupur Sharma's statement is legal would be decided by courts. But are those violent demonstrations taking place across the country without waiting for the court's verdict legal? In the debate, certain offensive things about Hindu deities were also said. I would only urge Muslim leaders to tell the community to have faith in our judiciary. It is being said openly that tongue will be chopped off if anyone says anything about the Prophet. People speaking like this are taking the law into their own hands."

The Organiser uploaded a story with comments of Geert Wilders, a legislator of Netherlands who slammed Islamic countries for condemning Nupur Sharma's comments and advised India 'not to be intimidated' by Islamic countries. "Such appeasement never works," Wilders said. In a piece titled, 'Who cares for Kafirophobia' published in Organiser's website, Pramod Pathak claimed Sharma was upset as 'derogatory remarks were made against Shivling.' It also published a report on alleged human rights abuse migrant workers in Qatar were subjected to.

The government had to meet international compulsions, "but this is not just about west Asia. Can we allow the veto to violence in a democracy... Europe has experienced it and many were looking at India, expecting us to not submit to it," Organiser editor Prafulla Ketkar contended to ET.
