Verdict of Assam will similar to Bihar if BJP does not stop the practice of import of leaders: MP R.P Sarma

GUWAHATI: Lok Sabha MP from Tezpur R.P Sarma on Wednesday said BJP will face Bihar type defeat in Assam polls if the party does not stop import of leaders.

Sarma while talking to local television said imported leaders were one of the reasons for crushing defeat in Bihar. “We have enough leaders and cadres to led the party, we do not need imported leaders in Assam”

Sarma added, “There is a serious need to check this trend of leaders from other parties coming to join us when our popularity is on rise and organization is robust in Assam.”
