Verdict exposed congress conspiracy: Sarbananda Sonowal

GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal welcomed the Supreme Court judgement dismissing the PIL that sought an independent probe into the death of special CBI judge BH Loya and tried to implicate BJP president Amit Shah into the case.

Chief Minister Sonowal said, “The apex court verdict exposed the conspiracy of the Congress Party to defame the BJP president Amit Shah. Also filing the PIL by someone unknown testified that it was politically motivated and a deliberate attempt to settle political score”.

Chief Minister Sonowal further said, “Congress president Rahul Gandhi must apologise before the country for his conspiracy to defame the BJP president. The PIL was a blatant attempt to defame the Judiciary, which was very unfortunate. The Congress president held a press conference on the matter and also met the President along with 150 MPs. But the Indian judiciary has unveiled the truth in front of everyone”.


Sonowal also said that the Supreme Court verdict on the PIL has once again proved the robustness of the Indian Judiciary.
