Venkaiah Naidu writes to Rajnath to probe illegal exchange of demonetised notes

I&B minister M Venkaiah Naidu has written to Home Minister for a probe following a media sting claiming that demonetised notes of Rs 1000/500 were being exchanged illegally with the valid ones against a hefty margin.

"Enquiry should be done to find out who are behind it. I have also asked my secretary to register a complaint with Delhi Police Commissioner for a detailed probe," Venkaiah Naidu said.
NEW DELHI: The Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has written to Home Minister for a probe following a media sting claiming that demonetised currency notes of Rs 1000 or 500 were being exchanged with the valid ones against a hefty margin by groups of people illegally.

He told reporters that he had written to the Home Minister and also asked his ministry to lodge a complaint with Delhi Police Commissioner.

"Enquiry should be done to find out who are behind it. I have also asked my secretary to register a complaint with Delhi Police Commissioner for a detailed probe," he said.
