Venkaiah Naidu visits Apollo Hospitals

A host of political leaders have been visiting the hospital soon after it was announced the 68-year-old leader suffered a cardiac arrest late last night.

CHENNAI: Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today visited Apollo Hospitals, where Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is undergoing treatment and is said to be in an "extremely grave" condition.

Naidu arrived here this evening and was in the hospital for about 30-40 minutes. However, he did not talk to the media waiting outside.

A host of political leaders have been visiting the hospital soon after it was announced the 68-year-old leader suffered a cardiac arrest late last night.

According to the latest update issued by the hospital, a team of doctors from Apollo Hospitals and from AIIMS were continuously monitoring the health of the chief minister.

The London doctor who is being consulted for her treatment has said her condition is "extremely grave".
