Vasundhara Raje to announce Bhamashah Yojana during Independence Day address
"The idea behind the scheme is to ensure that benefits reach those who need them and wastage is reduced, if not completely done away with," an official said.

According to finance and information technology department officials working on the roll out of the scheme, Raje will announce the launch of Bhamashah in her independence day address at Udaipur where she will be on a week-long visit along with much of the state administration as part of her 'Government at Your Doorstep' programme.
"The idea behind the scheme is to ensure that benefits reach those who need them and wastage is reduced, if not completely done away with," a senior IT department official told ET.
The official informed that, beginning August 16, the administration will organize enrollment camps across the state for giving out 'Bhamashah Cards', which will be multiple purposes such as official identity as well as classification of correct beneficiaries under social welfare schemes. Piggybacking on the technical infrastructure created for the UPA’s Aadhar and Direct Benefits Transfer schemes, Bhamashah will serve largely similar functions except its emphasis on families.
