Value education should be beyond teaching of autobiographies: Manish Sisodia
Sisodia was speaking at an award function organised by BSGPS to felicitate 31 principals and 38 teachers from across the country.

"In pursuit of value-based education, we make our children study the autobiographies of some great personalities but that does not ensure that those values get imbibed in them," Sisodia, who is also the Education Minister said.
"We need to develop those values in our children. Value education is driven by the confidence that one doesn't feel the need to take a bribe, misbehave with colleagues, indulge in various crimes. Our education should facilitate that, " he added.
Sisodia was speaking at an award function organised by Bhartiya Sanskriti Gyan Pariksha Samiti (BSGPS) to felicitate 31 principals and 38 teachers from across the country.
Also present on the occasion were CBSE chairman Satbir Bedi, Delhi Education Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava and Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Nivas Goyal.
"Earning money should not be the parameter of success but it should be evaluated upon how much an individual contributed to the society. Our education should make the children good human beings first and good salary package earners later," Bedi said.
