DEHRADUN: The Uttarakhand government is preparing a road map for connecting Tibetan handicrafts with tourism and exploring the possibilities of bringing Tibetans living below poverty line in the hill state under the ambit of Rajiv Awas Yojana.

Giving this assurance to Dolma Gyari of the Central Tibetan Administration here today, Chief Minister Harish Rawat said the state government would offer all help to resolve problems faced by the Tibetan community in Uttarakhand.

He also directed state sports minister Dinesh Agrawal and Chief Secretary N Ravishankar to look into the problems faced by the community in consultation with the Central Tibetan Administration.

Gyari thanked the chief minister for supporting Tibetans and told him that members of the community had a deep sense of belonging for Uttarakhand.
