Uttarakhand government indifferent to non-Congress constituencies: BJP MLA Bishan Singh Chufal
BJP MLA Bishan Singh Chufal said lack of proper education and medical facilities is causing largescale migration from the hills.

Speaking to reporters here, BJP MLA Bishan Singh Chufal said, "In my constituency Didihat there are several higher secondary schools which are making it do with just one or two teachers. As many as 9 doctors were transferred from the area recently and just one doctor has been sent in their place."
"The appalling condition of education and medical facilities is causing largescale migration from the hills which is a source of concern," he said.
Chufal, who also staged a dharna in the Assembly premises during its four-day winter session over the issue recently, said the reply given by the Chief Minister Harish Rawat in response to the points raised by him was "misleading".
"The CM's claim that more than average development work has been done in my constituency is misleading. Out of the 32 projects mentioned by him, 10 are the ones sanctioned by the previous BJP government for which he deserves no credit.
"Work on six of the projects including Didihat lift drinking water scheme and construction of Barat ghar taxi stand in the town are stalled due to no fresh allocation of funds and the rest are those on which work has still not started," the former state BJP chief alleged.
Chufal also charged Rawat with breach of privilege of the House saying that the CM's reply to points raised by him should have been placed on the floor of the State Assembly rather than being circulated privately among members despite the House being in session.
"I had staged my dharna in the Assembly premises when it was in session. However, the chief minister's reply did not come on the floor of the House. It was circulated privately to me and to other members on dharna along with me. This is a case of breach of privilege," Chufal claimed.
