Uttar Pradesh's Yogi govt gets huge thumbs up from Niti Aayog for all round development
UP has started to progress, Niti Aayog vice-chairman Rajiv Kumar told UP CM Yogi Adityanath on Thursday while reviewing the progress made by the state.

While the state’s progress was praised on various counts such as education, nutrition and health, the Niti Aayog team asked UP to be “aggressive” in improving the state’s ranking in ease of doing business — UP was at number 14 in the rankings released last year, slipping from the 10th spot it held in 2015.
“We assured the Niti Aayog that in the next rankings UP will show progress. After coming to power, the state government has made 371 changes which will reflect in the next rankings of ease of doing business,” UP health minister Siddharth Nath Singh, who was part of the review, told ET.
The ‘ease of doing business’ rankings are released every year by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion under the commerce ministry and the next rankings are expected to be public soon.
