Uttar Pradesh govt raises dearness allowance

Uttar Pradesh government has raised the dearness allowance for the employees of state government, aided educational institutions, technical institutions and urban bodies from 41 per cent to 47 per cent.

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh government has raised the dearness allowance for the employees of state government, aided educational institutions, technical institutions and urban bodies from 41 per cent to 47 per cent.

Chief Minister Mayawati today told reporters that the revised DA would be applicable from January 1, 2008.

She said that pensioners and family pension holders would also get the allowance at the revised rate.
