Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik casts vote in Maharashtra elections through postal ballot
Ever since he became eligible for polling in 1957 elections, he has been exercising his franchise in the personal capacity.

"Since it would have taken a lot of time and money to go to Maharashtra to fulfil my duty as a voter, I had requested the returning officer for the postal ballot for myself and my wife for the Goregaon assembly constituency", he told PTI here.
"The postal ballot was received yesterday and have been sent today for the polling slated for October 15," he said.
This is for the first time that 80-year-old Naik, who was designated as the 27th governor of Uttar Pradesh in July, has used the postal ballot as has been tied up in state affairs.
Ever since he became eligible for polling in 1957 elections, he has been exercising his franchise in the personal capacity.
