US will continue to deal with Pak's 'head of the state' Musharraf
Donald Camp has said that Washington would continue to deal with Pervez Musharraf as he was still the "head of the state".
Camp said this at a meeting of the Pak-American Congress in New York last evening. He further said that the US would also deal with Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, who, he added, had recently met US President George W Bush.
Denying that the US was against the reinstatement of the sacked judges in Pakistan, Camp said that the Pakistan's Parliament and its people had to make decisions on the issue themselves.
On terrorism and insurgency along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, Camp said that Pakistan was trying its best to control terrorism and insurgency on its western borders, and added that the US was very serious in establishing reconstruction zones in Pakistan tribal areas, reported the Daily Times.
Later, he added that the present US administration was trying to ensure US aid to Pakistan would continue during the next set-up in Washington.
