'US threatening PM Modi': Rahul Gandhi claims India-US trade deal signed under Trump's ‘threat’

Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Feb 26 continued his allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the recent India-US interim trade agreement, claiming that the PM is "trapped" and signed the anti-farmer agreement under pressure from US President Donald Trump. “Allowing American farmers to sell soyabean, corn, fruits in India - no Indian PM would have allowed this. It is going to destroy the foundation which we built carefully...For 4 months, the India-US trade deal was stuck. The reason it was stuck was agriculture. Indian govt does not want to open Indian agriculture to American companies. President Trump was threatening the PM. They did not let me speak on President's address in Parliament. Amit Shah got up, the PM did not let me speak, the Speaker too...For the first time in the history of India, the LoP was not allowed to speak on the President's address. Why were they stopping me? It was because they knew I was going to talk about the two issues that have trapped the PM of India - the Epstein Files, which have information about the PM of India, and the Adani case in America…,” said Rahul Gandhi.
