US issues travel alert on quake-hit areas in India, Nepal
The United States has issued a travel alert for its citizens to be prepared if they intend to visit quake-hit areas of India, Nepal and Bhutan.
"Those traveling in these areas should consider emergency preparedness, including the availability of reliable sources of food, water, and medical supplies," the State Department said in its latest travel alert.
There have been no reports of US citizen casualties as a result of the 6.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred on September 18.
This travel alert expires on November 15, the State Department said.
