US Envoy Richard R Verma pays obeisance at Golden Temple

AMRITSAR: US Ambassador Richard R Verma today visited the Golden Temple here and paid obeisance at the sanctum sanctorum.

Verma, who is on a visit to Punjab, also visited the Langar (community kitchen) in the temple premises to watch food preparation and took part in it for few minutes.

Later, he was honoured at the information centre of the Golden Temple with set of Sikh religious books, replica of Golden Temple and woolen shawls.

He also visited the Jallianwala Bagh in the city and paid tribute to the martyrs.
