NEW DELHI: The outcome of the Indian election is being keenly anticipated in the US, which has strategic interests here.

A day after US envoy to India Peter Burleigh met BJP���s prime ministerial candidate LK Advani, US Pacific Command chief Admiral Timothy J Keating met foreign secretary Shivshankar Menon and National Security Advisor M K Narayanan to get a sense of the developments in India and the neighbourhood.

Admiral Keating said after the meetings that he hoped Indo-US military ties would continue at the same level under the incoming dispensation.
