UPA schemes only benefited certain communities: Siddhardh Nath Singh, BJP leader
VIJAYAWADA (AP): Siddhardh Nath Singh, BJP national secretary, today alleged here that the schemes implemented by the previous UPA government at the Centre only benefited a few communities.

He was addressing a state-level workshop of party workers to create awareness about the MUDRA Bank, a special bank for the small scale industry and entrepreneurs.

Several schemes of the UPA were implemented only in the 90 minority-dominated districts in the country, he claimed.

During the Congress regime, the fruits of nationalisation were only enjoyed by the rich. On the other hand, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Jan Dhan Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana and the MUDRA Bank were aimed at the poorest of the poor, the BJP leader said.

Lakhs of street vendors would be benefited by MUDRA Bank, he said, asking the BJP workers to reach out to the vendors and help them get loans.
