UPA not revealing names of tax evaders: Advani

BJP leader L K Advani today accused the Congress of not revealing names of people whose black money are stashed abroad.

DINA NAGAR: BJP leader L K Advani today accused the Congress of not revealing names of people whose black money are stashed abroad.

"The Congress-led UPA government is functioning in a dishonest manner by not making public the names of those who have stashed black money abroad...Congress fears it will be exposed as most of the illegal money belongs to the party leaders," he said at an election rally to boost the campaign of BJP nominee B D Dhuppar here.

"This government is dishonest and wants to hide things. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has failed to address the problems of inflation and corruption...Unless the government is sincere in its approach to bring back the black money deposited abroad, inflation and corruption cannot be reduced," the former Deputy Prime Minister said.

Demanding a white paper on the black money stashed abroad, Advani said NDA would raise the issue in the forthcoming Parliament session.
