UP state budget to be presented on June 29

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, who also holds the finance portfolio, will present the annual budget of the state for 2007-08 on June 29 in the assembly.
The month-long session of the house, which begins from Wednesday, will debate on the annual budget from July 3 and the Appropriation bill will be finally adopted in the House on July 27, according to a notification of the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat.
“A total of 17 ordinances had been promulgated by Governor T V Rajeswar in the past and some of them might be replaced by bills during this session of the House,” sources said.
