UP government working towards improving law and order: Ram Naik
KANPUR: The Uttar Pradesh Governor today said Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was concerned about law and order situation in the state and was working towards improving it.

Ram Naik said that being the Governor of the state he was concerned about the law and order situation and so was the Chief Minister.

"Yadav is working hard on improving the police administration and making it hi-tech," the Governor said, hoping that law and order situation in the state would soon become better.

He was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a programme at Moti Jheel Park here this morning.

Asked about the stalemate over the appointment of a Lokayukta, Naik said he had returned the file and now if the state government moves court over the issue then he would wait for the verdict.

When asked about the Allahabad High Court judgement asking government employees, elected representatives and members of judiciary to send their children to government-run schools, Naik declined to comment on the issue.
