UP government transfers Principal Secretary Deepak Singhal

LUCKNOW: In a surprise move, Uttar Pradesh government tonight transfered Principal Secretary (home) Deepak Singhal.

Rakesh Bahadur, an IAS officer of 1979 batch, will be the new Principal Secretary (home), a senior government officer said here.

Deepak Singhal was posted as Principal Secretary (home) on June 3 after Anil Gupta was removed from the post following a gangrape and murder of two cousin sisters in Badaun.
