The parents of martyr policemen will be given Rs 5 lakh financial assistance. This will be in addition to the exisiting Rs 20 lakh given to wife of the deceased.

UP government announces Rs 5 lakh aid to parents of cops killed on duty
LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh government today announced Rs five lakhs to parents of policemen killed while performing their duties.

The parents of martyr policemen will be given Rs 5 lakh financial assistance. This will be in addition to the exisiting Rs 20 lakh given to wife of the deceased, an official release issued here said.

The CM also announced hike of Rs 100 per month to meal allowance to non gazatted policemen, it added.

Earlier, CM paid his on homage to martyr policemen at police lines here on the occasion of ' Police Smriti Diwas'.
