UP elections: Priyanka Gandhi takes charge in Rae Bareli & Amethi

LUCKNOW: A day before Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi hits Bundelkhand for his election campaign, sister Priyanka took charge of the family stronghold in Rae Bareli and Amethi. Priyanka's three-day tour, starting Monday, will see her criss-crossing 10 assembly seats that fall in the Lok Sabha constituencies of mother Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

She started her tour by holding a meeting in Munshiganj on Monday where she instructed the party cadres how to handle the election campaign and the strategy for voting day. According to reports, Priyanka started by saying that she is sorry to have come after a long time and appealed the workers to take forward Rahul Gandhi's mission to bring Congress to power in the state.
