UP election body submits report on AAP-BJP clash to Election Commission
LUCKNOW: A preliminary report on the clash between AAP and BJP activists outside the saffron party's headquarters in Lucknow has been submitted to the Election Commission by the state Chief Electoral officer.

A report having facts of the events of the clash has been sent to the EC while detailed report would be sent after District Magistrate and SSP's report, officials said today.

On March 5, armed with brooms, workers of Aam Aadmi Party clashed with lathi-wielding activists of BJP outside its headquarters on Vidhan Sabha Marg here to protest against detention of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Gujarat.

Clashes had occurred in other parts also, including in Delhi, in protest against detention of Kejriwal.

Cross FIRs were lodged by both the parties against each other.
