UP Congress prepares for good show in tomorrow's protest against demonetisation
NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) has given special focus to put up the party’s good show in the November 28 all-India protest called by opposition parties against the centre’s demonetization drive. Congress party’s prominent faces, who are associated with the UP, will lead the party workers in different districts during tomorrow’s protest march.

As per the plan, UPCC’s state president Raj Babbar will lead the party workers in Lucknow. While the party’s chief ministerial candidate in the coming 2017 UP assembly polls and Delhi’s former CM Sheila Dikshit will participate in this protest in Kanpur, UPCC’ coordination committee chairman and MP Pramod Tiwari has been asked to camp in Allahabad.

Dr Sanjay Singh, MP, is tasked to lead the protest march in Varanasi which is PM Narendra Modi’s LS constituency. Jhansi and Bareilly districts will see presence of former union ministers Sriprakash jaiswal and Salman Khursheed respectively. Senior leader Nirmal Khatri, Zafar Ali Naqvi, Rajiv Shukla, Pradip Aditya Jain and Pradip Mathur will camp in Gorakhpur, Moradabad, Aligarh, Agra, Gaziabad, Saharanpur and Firozabad respectively.
