Congress workers had yesterday held protests all over the state and had given an ultimatum to the district police demanding that the culprits be nabbed.

LUCKNOW: A Congress delegation led by Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Raj Babbar today met Governor Ram Naik and demanded the immediate arrest of culprits who had damaged a statue of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi in Mirzapur.

The delegation comprising senior party leaders Pramod Tewari, Sanjay Singh , P L Punia, all of whom are MPs, submitted a memorandum to Nail apprising him of the incident in Mirzapur and sought immediate arrest of those responsible.

Congress workers had yesterday held protests all over the state and had given an ultimatum to the district police demanding that the culprits be nabbed.
