UP Chief Secretary visited Allahabad to review the preparation for Kumbha Mela 2019

According to a press release, issued by the UP’ Information and Public Relation Department, Kumar asked officers concerned to meet the deadline fixed for the ongoing works.

The chief secretary directed the officials to ensure construction of “Yatri Niwas”, which may accommodate at least 2000 pilgrims, at suitable places as per requirement.
UP Chief Secretary Rajive Kumar on Thursday visited Allahabad to review the Kumbha Mela 2019. He directed the authorities concerned of the working agencies to complete all sanctioned works on time. He gave special emphasis on the quality of works.

According to a press release, issued by the UP’ Information and Public Relation Department, Kumar asked officers concerned to meet the deadline fixed for the ongoing works.

He directed the officials to ensure construction of “Yatri Niwas”, which may accommodate at least 2000 pilgrims, at suitable places as per requirement. He also added there should be better traffic plan during Kumbha Mela-2019 and parking facilities should be away from the Mela site.


The pilgrims should be provided facilities like E-rickshaw and CNG rickshaw from the sites of parking. During his meeting with the transport department, he gave special emphasis for better arrangement for the pilgrims for their transportation from parking sites to Mela area.
