UP Assembly Election 2012: Buta Singh booked for breach of model code of conduct

GHAZIABAD: Former Union minister and Congress leader Buta Singh has been booked for breaching the model code of conduct in Hapur city near here, officials said.

A case was registered against Buta for addressing a poll rally in favour of the Congress candidate in the newly-formed Panchsheel Nagar district yesterday without taking prior permission from the authorities, SDM Mahender Singh said.

Administration found Buta guilty of violating model code after seeing video footages of the event and a case was registered against him and 50 others under Section 188 of the CrPc.
