GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal asked the official to undertake a survey to understand the mental condition of the people and how economic activities can be started in the tea garden areas amid COVID 19 pandemic.

Sonowal in Dibrugarh took stock of the latest COVID 19 situation. The meeting also discussed elaborately the prevailing COVID 19 situation in the tea garden areas. In view of the rising number of COVID 19 positive cases, Sonowal stressed on strict surveillance on the tea garden areas for judicious management of pandemic in the area.

He also asked the district administrations to undertake a survey to understand the mental condition of the people and how economic activities can be started in the tea garden areas amid COVID 19 pandemic. He also emphasized that the economic activities should be resumed adhering all safety protocols as he asked the administration to generate awareness regarding this.


Sonowal also asked the Joint Directors Health to render timely medical intervention for all the COVID 19 positive people in home isolation.
