Uncontrollable over ambition has caused conflict at global stage: Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday said "uncontrollable over ambition" has caused a conflict at the global stage.

Speaking at an event here, Gadkari said that India needs to send a message of world peace and humanism.

"Our heritage, legacy and history is so rich that our country was never authoritarian and expansionist. However, there is a kind of uncontrollable over ambition that is leading to the conflict in the world today, and a need has arisen to send a message of world peace and humanism in the world," he said.


The Union minister was speaking at the inauguration of Shri Saraswati Karad Hospital, constructed by MIT Group of Institutions.

Asserting that India must become 'Vishwa Guru', Gadkari said, "Our ethos does not preach 'my welfare' or 'my family's welfare' but it talks about the world's welfare."

The minister is in Pune to attend various events.
