Uma rules out possibility to return to BJP

BHOPAL: Bharatiya Janashakti Party President and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Uma Bharti on Monday firmly ruled out all possibilities of her ever returning to the BJP again.

Addressing a huge "Suraaj and Sankalp" rally organised by her party at the Lal Parade ground here, she told her party workers not to believe in rumours about her return to the BJP.

She said that whenever they heard such rumours they were free to quash them without even consulting her even for a minute.

Bharti also said that similarly there was no chance of her ever joining hands with the Congress and said that her fight was both against the Congress and the BJP.

At the end of her speech, she asked those present at the rally to raise both their fists and said that one should be used to hit the Congress while the other must be mued for beating the BJP.

The BJS President said that there was no reason for her to join the BJP as this party had shown double standards on various issues including the Amarnath Yatra and the Ram temple.

She said that when the BJP was in the opposition, it always spoke of the need for constructing the Ram temple at Ayodhya but on coming to power, it quickly forgot this promise.

Taking a did at the Madhya Pradesh State Congress chief Suresh Pachouri and former Chief Minister, Digvijay Singh she recalled that she had defeated the former by more than 1.70 lakhs in the Lok Sabha elections and ousted the latter with a three-fourth majority win.
