Ultra High Temperature-processed milk to be available in Chhattisgarh's govt schools: Raman Singh, CM
The flavoured milk would be distributed by the Chhattisgarh Rajya Dugdh Mahasangh to anganwadis, schools and CRPF camps once in a week.

Chief Minister Raman Singh yesterday inaugurated the distribution of the UHT-processed milk under a pilot project for government school-goers at an anganwadi centre in Gariaband district, a government spokesperson said today.
The flavoured milk would be distributed by the Chhattisgarh Rajya Dugdh Mahasangh to anganwadis, primary schools, middle schools, residential schools and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camps once in a week, he said.
The Chief Minister on the occasion said the UHT milk distribution would be started in other districts soon, the official said.
Singh lauded the increase in the state's milk production capacity and the self-sufficiency it has attained on the milk front, the spokesperson said.
Normal milk needs refrigeration to prevent it from being infected by bacteria, while UHT-processed milk remains fresh for long time even without preservation.
