Chetia was acquitted for lack of evidence. Chetia has joined the ongoing peace talks. He was repatriated to India last year.

ULFA general secretary Anup Chetia acquitted in killing charges
GUWAHATI: A designated Tada Court on Wednesday acquitted ULFA general secretary Anup Chetia in connection with killing charges.

Chetia’s advocate Bijon Mahajan said that this cases related to killing of president of Kamrup Chamber of Commerce G.L. Haralalka, industrialist Surendra Paul and wife of Superintendent of police of Didbrugarh.

Chetia was acquitted for lack of evidence. Chetia has joined the ongoing peace talks. He was repatriated to India last year.
