Ukraine keen to set up aircraft MRO facility in Andhra Pradesh

VIJAYAWADA: A business delegation from Ukraine has evinced interest in setting up an aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Andhra Pradesh.

The delegation met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu last night and put forth the proposal to set up the MRO facility in association with Secunderabad-based Titan group, a release from the Chief Minister's Office said.

The facility would be set up with an investment of Rs 3,000 crore, the release said.

While promising all assistance from the government, the Chief Minister asked the Ukraine delegation to come up with a detailed project proposal.

Donakonda in the parched Prakasam district may be chosen for setting up the MRO facility, the release added.

The Ukraine delegation visited Donakonda today, along with state Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao, to inspect the land.
