CHENNAI: Britain would work with whatever government that was formed in India after the next year elections, UK Minister for Business, Innovation and Skills Dr Vince Cable today said.

Responding to a query on BJP fielding Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as its Prime Ministerial candidate, Cable said "India produces a democratic government and we work with them".

"Well, we are not passing judgements on Indian political leaders. India is a democracy. They choose whatever leaders they like. We have contract with him (Narendra Modi) in Gujarat. So we are not saying good or bad. It is not my call", he said.

Cable was here to inaugurate the "GREAT British Festival" showcasing UK companies operating in India and encourage new business to business partnerships, including SMEs.
