Uddhav Thackeray wonders why did BJP refuse to give CM post to Shiv Sena in 2019

"Let the metro car shed project be at Kanjurmarg and not in Aarey. Kanjurmarg is not a private plot. I am with the environmentalists and had declared Aarey as reserved forest. Wildlife exists in that forest," he said.

Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray questioned the BJP's plan to choose a "so-called Shiv Sainik" as Maharashtra chief minister after failing to keep its 2019 promise to rotate the job.

During a press conference at Shiv Sena Bhavan, Thackeray also urged the BJP not to "betray" Mumbai in the same way that it "betrayed" him. He expressed his disappointment with the new Maharashtra government's decision to relocate the metro vehicle shed from Kanjurmarg in Mumbai to Aarey Colony.

"Let the metro car shed project be at Kanjurmarg and not in Aarey. Kanjurmarg is not a private plot. I am with the environmentalists and had declared Aarey as reserved forest. Wildlife exists in that forest," he said.

It was a mockery of democracy and a waste of the people's vote, according to Thackeray.
