Uddhav Thackeray lists family assets worth Rs 143 crore

MUMBAI: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has listed that he and his family have assets worth Rs 143.26 crores, which include land and jewellery, while his liabilities are worth 15.5 crores.

Thackeray listed this on Monday while filing his nomination papers for the Maharasthra legislative council polls. He has in possession gold bars, gold and diamond jewellery and silver utensils worth Rs 53 lakhs under the Hindu Undivided Family law. He also has an additional 23 lakhs of silver utensils and coins with him.

His wife Rashmi Thackeray has jewellery worth Rs 1.35 crores. Interestingly, while he and his family are worth crores, the CM has claimed in his affidavit that he does not own a single vehicle.


Thackeray has listed shares worth more than Rs 1 crore currently, his unlisted shares are worth more than Rs 20 crores. His investment in mutual funds is worth Rs 14 lakhs. His wife Rashmi has Rs 1.81 crores in listed shares, while in unlisted shares she has close to Rs 32 crores.

The Chief Minister has listed Rs 24 crores as his movable assets, while his wife Rashmi has listed 36 crores as her movable assets. He has 54.45 crores of immovable assets and Rs 7.88 crore in banks and as fixed deposits in his name as well as in the name of his families. His wife has 28.93 crores as immovable assets.
