Uddhav Sena slams Pawar senior for praising deputy CM Eknath Shinde

Sharad Pawar should not have attended his event-this is our party's stance. In politics, friendships and rivalries may be fluid, but Shinde remains Maharashtra's enemy and a traitor," said UBT Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut.

MUMBAI: Cracks in the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi appear to be deepening after Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was felicitated and praised by Sharad Pawar at a literary event in Delhi. The move has angered the Uddhav Thackeray-led Sena faction, which has openly criticized Pawar over the issue. "Eknath Shinde toppled our government and betrayed us. Sharad Pawar should not have attended his event-this is our party's stance. In politics, friendships and rivalries may be fluid, but Shinde remains Maharashtra's enemy and a traitor," said UBT Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut.

Raut was referring to Shinde being awarded the Mahadji Shinde Rashtriya Gaurav award on Tuesday in the backdrop of the 98th All India Marathi Literature Conference which will be held from February 21 to 23.
