Uber cab rape case: Shocked family flocks together to fight back
Distraught and distressed but putting up a brave face. Perhaps these words sum up the mood of the 25-year-old rape survivor and her family.

There was a nervous energy about the house, but the family made every effort to make it appear like a regular Sunday—the usual family routine was maintained and everyone went about doing his/her daily chores. They were all trying to help her deal with the situation.
"It can happen to anyone. But life doesn't stop here. It's not a tragedy that will stall our lives. We will overcome this and our daughter is brave enough for that," said the woman's father.
When we asked how she was, he said she was absolutely fine.
The woman herself didn't show much emotion, walking around the house and taking calls normally. At one point she asked her father who we were and then sat down with him. "She's always been a strong and fearless person and this incident won't put her down. She can live free as she always has," he said.
He also appreciated the efforts of Delhi Police to trace down the perpetrator. "They're doing their job. I'm being updated about the case every half-an-hour," he said.
