Two portals on Jawaharlal Nehru to be launched on November 14

NEW DELHI: Congress president Sonia Gandhi is likely to launch on Jawaharlal Nehru’s birth anniversary on November 14 two portals dedicated to the life and works of India’s first prime minister. The move is part of the Congress’ efforts to thwart the Narendra Modi regime’s attempts to run down Nehru’s legacy while marking the culmination of the year-long observation of his 125th birth anniversary. The party will also bring out acommemorative book on Nehru, containing his profile, details of his major contributions and featuring rare photographs from the archives, party members familiar with the matter said. — CL Manoj
