Two people killed in fresh violence in Assam

Bodoland in Assam is once again witnessing violent incidents. On Saturday two persons were killed in two different incidents by unidentified miscreants.

GUWAHATI: After a lull of about a month, Bodoland in Assam is once again witnessing violent incidents. On Saturday two persons were killed in two different incidents by unidentified miscreants.

This has sparked off tension and administration has sounded alert in the area. IGP of Assam police G.P Singh told ET, "Alert has been sounded in the area. One incident took place in Kokrajhar and other in Gossaigaon "

Meanwhile Assam chief minister, Tarun Gogoi on Saturday announced to set up rural administrative service. He said that 30 per cent of the jobs so created will be reserved for rural based candidates who will have to serve in the backward areas for a time-bound period.

Gogoi , "I do admit there is corruption in all departments. No department is free from corruption. I am saying that. It is a fact."
