GUWAHATI: Suspected anti talk faction of ULFA militants on Monday exploded an improvised explosive device ( IED) in Dudhnoi in Goalpara district. Two persons were killed and 21 others including policemen were injured.

Additional Director General of Assam police, Pallab Bhattacharya told ET, “The IED exploded at around 7.30 pm while it was kept in a dustbin. The area where explosion took place is busy market place. We suspect the hand of anti talk ULFA militant outfit however it requires further investigation.”
