During his Sunday visit, Modi inaugurated, or laid foundation stones of infrastructure schemes projected to be worth ₹13,500 crore. He also announced that a National Turmeric Board will be set up as India was the largest producer, consumer and exporter of turmeric. "Telangana wants change, as it wishes for a clean government. It does not want false promises but delivery. Telangana wants a BJP government," Modi claimed.
"In Telangana, the steering wheel is in the hands of somebody else... Two family-run parties have stalled the progress of the state. They both stand only for corruption and commission... These two parties are of the family, by the family and for the family. They have turned democracy into a private limited company. The president, CEO, director, general manager, chief manager, manager are all from one family. They have some members in the party only as support staff for show. The parties are working only for the family," Modi said, adding that BJP was dedicated to making life of people better.
He reached out to women voters, mentioning Parliament's passage of Women's Reservation Bill. "Women of Telangana know that they have a brother in Delhi who works to make their life comfortable. We have done a lot of work for women," he said and named the Ujjwala LPG scheme, PM Awas Yojana, and Mudra Loan Yojana.
Modi said that the Centre was committed to the development of Telangana.
