Suspected militants exploded two grenades which injured three people in Assam's Lakhimpur town.

GUWAHATI: Suspected militants exploded two grenades which injured three people in Assam's Lakhimpur town. IGP law and order, S.N Singh told ET, "Third grenade is recovered from the place. There were two explosions"

Police sources said, "Breakaway faction of National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) is active in the area and has served extortion notes to several businessmen in the area."
