Two die of swine flu in Hyderabad; toll rises to three this year
HYDERABAD: Two deaths due to swine flu and other health problems have been reported here, a health official said today.

A senior citizen (61-year-old) and a man in his 20s from the city were referred to the state-run Gandhi hospital during the last 48 hours, after being treated in private hospitals, where they succumbed soon after admission, according to Dr Narasimhulu, swine flu coordinator at the Gandhi hospital.

Earlier, a man had died of swine flu and other problems last week, he said.

Observing that swine flu virus this year is not as virulent as it was in 2009, health officials here have, however, cautioned that high risk groups (those suffering from different serious ailments and low immunity) need to be alert.
