Photographic narratives of Tibetans life in exile for last 50 years was one of the highlights at a two-day exhibition in Coimbatore.

COIMBATORE: Photographic narratives of Tibetans life in exile for the last 50 years and ongoing wave of Tibetan self--immolations in Tibet were among the highlights at a two-day exhibition which began here today.

Tibet Museum of the Department Of information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration and Friends of Tibet, the joint organisors, wanted to inform global community about current situation in Tibet and reason behind Tibetan staking drastic steps like self-immolations, Prof. V Anto, Coordinator, Friends of Tibet, said in a release.

Though this expo, the organisers wanted to seek global intervention in alleviating the sufferings of Tibetans inside Tibet from repressive Chinese autocratic rule, he claimed.
